To create this effect you need to use the Stamp-A-Majig and a combination of light and dark ink pads that work together to create the drop-shadow effect.
The first image is stamped onto White or Vanilla card stock using the paler ink. The next step is to stamp the image onto your imaging sheet (this comes in the Stamp -A-Majig box) and then line it up so it is just off-centre of the original image. Position the arm, ink your stamp up again, this time with the darker colour and stamp onto the cardstock. (I hope my instructions make sense!)
I demonstrated the cards above at the Sydney Papercrafts Festival a couple of weekends ago with the Baroque Motifs stamp set.
Here’s what else I used to create these cards (all from Stampin’ Up!):
Ink: Groovy Guava, Blush Blossom, Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, Sahara Sand and Perfect Plum Classic Ink Pads.
Card Stock: Blush Blossom, Groovy Guava, Blue bayou, Soft Sky, Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Whisper White, Very Vanilla.
Embellishments: Cream Half Pearl from Pretties Kit, Blue Ice Circle Rhinestone Brad, Antique Brass Vintage Brad, Kraft Taffeta Ribbon, Blue Bayou Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals, paper piercer, Stamp-A-Majig, Paper Snips.
If you want to try this technique at home email me and I’ll ship all the supplies needed straight to you anywhere in Australia.

Berry Bliss to be precise! I’ve been creating these for my hostesses at their workshop recently. It all started with The Origami Box I saw Kristina Werner demonstrate on one of her video tutorials. For those of you who have asked me for the instructions please click on this link and you will see how it’s done.
Once you’ve made your gift box, it’s just a matter of making up some little gift cards with left over scraps of card-stock and papers (I’ve use the Berry Bliss double sided papers here) and some ribbon.
I’ve also used Cherished Memories Rub-Ons both on the card stock and the Purely Pomegranate Satin ribbon (I love that Stampin’ Up!’s Rub-Ons come with a black and a white sheet of the designs so you can use them on either light or dark coloured card stock- very cool!)
Did you know you can use your rub-ons on just about any clean, dry surface?
Purchase your rub-ons at 20% off when you spend $20 on Stampin’ Up products this month.
Thanks for visiting:-)

Are you looking for someone to stamp with?
Do you want to learn some new stamping , card-making and scrapbooking techniques?
Want to earn free stuff without hosting a workshop in your home?
There are now only 2 spots remaining for next year’s Stamp Clubs………
If you’re not already familiar with “Stamp Clubbing” here’s how it works:
The clubs run for 6 months from January to June and have 6 members each. Club members commit to spending $50 on Stampin’ Up! products (before shipping) each month, the classes are held at my place, are free to club members and we will complete one or two projects that I wouldn’t normally do as a Make-n-Take at a workshop.
But here’s the best bit……….each month one club member will take a turn at being the hostess and receive at least a level one hostess set and additional cash to spend depending on the order total for the night.
CLUB #1 (1 PLACE REMAINING) - 1st Club Meeting Thursday 29th January
CLUB #2 (1 PLACE REMAINING)-1st Club Meeting Thursday 22nd January
If you would like to take part in next years clubs then please email me at stampin@vanessawebb.net and I will send you more details as well as an application form.

Stampin’ Up! never do things by halves……and this month it’s no different!! For the month of November they are offering not 1 but 2 promotions.
Starting today you can order any of the 5 packs of Rub -Ons at 20% discount when you spend $20 or more on Stampin’ Up! products.
The card above was created with one of the new stampsets, Eastern Blooms, from the soon-to-be-released Summer Mini Catalogue (I can’t show you the cover yet but email me today to pre-order your copy and I’ll mail it to you on the 1st Dec!)
I used a “Cherished memories” Rub- On for the greeting and I rubbed it directly on to the Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon (I’m going to miss this ribbon when it disappears with the current Mini Catalogue November 30th *sigh*) with the pointy end of my bone folder - I just wanted to use the word “wish” instead of the whole greeting which said “Peaceful Wishes” as this was a birthday card for my niece, Naia (happy birthday Naia!)
Promotion No. 2………..drum roll please…………
This month you can purchase Stampin’ Write Markers INDIVIDUALLY for $4.95 each!!
Now is the time to stock up on all your favourite colours and get that versatility you’ve always wanted out of your stamps.
Here’s just one example of what you can do with markers to create a mottled effect on your stamped image:

This card is a CASE of a creation by the lovely Yvonne Campbell.
I ‘ve used the “thumping” technique to create the different colours in the leaves with the brush end of the marker by tapping it like a drum stick onto the rubber before “huffing” (breathing over the stamp to re-moisten) and stamping onto the card stock.
This is just one of the many uses for markers……if you subscribe to my email newsletter you will receive this month more information on how to use and care for your markers as well as many other tips and project ideas.
Email me today at stampin@vanessawebb.net to subscribe or to pre-order your Summer Mini catalogue!

I really enjoy challenging myself to use colours that I am not naturally drawn to. This card was the result of my effort to use some colours that I hadn’t ever combined together previously.
Here’s what I used to make this card:
Stamps : Always stamp set (available until the end of November!!)
Ink : Versa Mark, Basic Grey
Paper : Pumpkin Pie, Basic Grey, Whisper White
Accessories: Clear Embossing powder, Heat tool, Powder Pal, Embossing Buddy, District Ribbon Originals, Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware, Snail Adhesive, White Gel Pen, Cutter Kit (7 -sided Distressing Tool).
The white strip around the embossed heart and the white flowers were coloured in with the Stampin’ Up! Signo White Gel Pen.
Hmmmmmmm, I’m not sure about this one……….
Let me know what you think!

What a week it’s been! Last weekend I was up in Sydney for the Paper Craft Festival in Canterbury. We stamped our little hearts out all weekend and had an absolute ball. Thanks to all those who visited us at the Stampin’ Up! stall (some of you even sneaked back for a second and third look at our wall full of samples so it was lovely to be able to talk to you again, and again!) It was great to meet and share stamping with all those who sat a while at our Make-n-Take table and wonderful to get to know better my fellow demonstrators Georgina, Teneale, Angela and Lin Mei. Thanks for a fabulous weekend everyone!
Below is a photo that a lovely customer of mine (waving “hi” to Lisa!) took as I demonstrated the Shadow Stamping technique using the Stamp-a-Majig (I will post pics of my samples later).

If you missed the show this year, make sure you come along next year……there is so much to see and do and it’s worth making a day of it!
Now to the Never-ending Card ………….
Here’s what the very talented Heidi created at our last stamp club………….

How gorgeous is this??! These are sooooooo simple to make. Here is a link to the basic template which you can adapt by adding extra layers to give your card some weight.
You can even use these to display photos ……….they make a great coffee table display and conversation starter.
I hope you enjoy making one of these yourself……..make sure you leave a comment with a link to your blog so I can see your version of the Never-Ending Card!

I wanted to share with you a card that one of my lovely customers created at one of our stamp club meetings recently. We got broke out the Water Colour Crayons, our Blender Pens and Aqua painters for a relaxing evening of water-colouring. I loved this card that is using the two stampsets “Bloomin’ With Beauty” and “Touch of Nature” (from the main Stampin’ Up! catalogue) ……..being similar in style they go beautifully together. But please ignore my watermark (I’ll have to remove it when I work out how lol!) as this card was created by the lovely Lyndall Bailey (waving “Hi” to Lyndall!)
If you would like to have Bloomin’ with Beauty or any of the other sets in the current Spring Mini Catalogue in your stamp stash, then you need to place an order before the end of November 30th as many of these sets will never be available again after that date.
And speaking of Stamp Clubs……..
I am starting up another of two of these in the New Year……..
These new clubs will meet on Thursday evenings for 6 months from January through to June.
Each club will have 6 members and, as usual, I will be running a free class, just for members, at my home in Wollongong. We will be focusing on different stamping techniques and scrap booking ideas each month and complete a project that I wouldn’t normally show at a workshop. To be a member of the club, each person agrees to purchase a minimum of $50 worth of Stampin’ Up! products (before shipping) each month.
The best bit is that you each take a turn at being the hostess and earn at least one level one hostess set as well as extra cash to spend depending on the total for the night .
CLUB #1 (1 SPOT REMAINING) - 1st Club Meeting Thursday 29th January
CLUB #2 (3 SPOTS REMAINING)-1st Club Meeting Thursday 22nd January
If you would like to take part in next years clubs then please email me at stampin@vanessawebb.net and I will send you more details as well as an application form to reserve your spot.
Thanks for visiting!

Sorry for the long delay between posts. I have had problems with my PC due to a virus that disabled my virus protection and after that created havoc and shut down nearly every program I had installed. I am happy to say that we are now virus-free and back to our usual programming
.
I wanted to share with you a christmas mobile inspired by the lovely Andrea Lowcock in my Inky Fingers team and the design on page 18 of the current Spring Mini Catalogue. When I saw Andrea’s on her blog I had to make one for myself (she even sent me one of her class kits so I could create my own, what a sweetie………thanks Andrea!).
The mobile is made from On Board “Trimmings” chip board which you can use to create ornaments, home decor, tree trimmings and keepsakes by decorating the pieces with stamps and Designer Series Paper and other embellishments. I loved Andrea’s idea of using the hatpin so I grabbed one of them from my Pretties Kit and pushed it through the Cocoa velvet ribbon from my “Theatre” Ribbon Originals.
These gorgeous “Holiday Harmony” papers and the “Trimmings” Chip board are available only until the end of November so be sure to order yours now and get started on creating some Christmas gifts and decorating your home with hand made ornaments that you and your family will treasure for many years to come!
To create the mobile above I used the following products (all available for purchase through me from Stampin’ Up!):
Stamps: Season Of Joy (p22 Mini Catalogue),Occasional Greetings
Ink : Purely Pomegranate, Always Artichoke and Certainly Celery Stampin’ Write Markers
Paper: Holiday Harmony Double Sided Paper and Purely Pomegranate card stock
Accessories : Trimmings On Board chip board, Two Way Glue Pen, Sanding Block, 2mm Hand Held Punch, Linen Thread, Pretties Kit, Mini Glue Dots.
