This was the set that I chose to purchase first – Artistic Etchings is what it’s called……and it’s gorgeous!

I’ve seen a couple of cards on blogs around the place using this red, vanilla and black colour scheme….very Vintage and very French…… perfect

Inspiration for the card above came from a gorgeous swap I received from Tracey Eaton at Convention this year. I changed the colours and a few other elements but the layout and idea is bascially the same.

Here’s what I used to create this card -

Stamps : None! *shock*

Ink/Cardstock : None

Paper : Sahara Sand, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss (retiring) cardstock,  Good Morning Sunshine Designer series Paper.

Accessories : Two Step Bird Punch, Circle Scissor Plus, Scallop Circle Die, Big Shot machine, Timeless Type Junior Alphabet, Manhatten Flower Textured Impressions embossing folder, Kraft Taffeta Ribbon (retiring), Tempting Turquoise 1/4″ Grosgrain ribbon.

In less than 2 weeks time we will say farewell to many of our current stampsets, accessories and colours. BUT…..it’s not too late to put your order in!

One of the colours I will miss is Really Rust. I’ve used it here with my Brayer behind the cheeky monkey swinging from his branch. (This card is coloured to look like the African Savannah…..and I used Really Rust and so Saffron Classic inks to create the look of the “sunset”).

If you have an ink pad in any of the colours pictured below and you still haven’t bought a reinker…..you can do so before the last chance list runs out on August 31 and they are no longer available. You can also stock up on cardstock in all your favourite colours before they disappear forever!

PLEASE NOTE : Close to Cocoa Cardstock single colour packs have SOLD OUT. This colour is still available however in mixed colour A4 and 12×12 packs and as a Classic Ink Pad and Stampin’ Write Marker. Many of the markers in out-going colours are now 25-50% off the catalogue price!

Hi everyone! Just popping in to share this weekend’s workshop projects with you. This week we have been creating Christmas cards with the Movers and Shapers Holiday Windows dies (I love the fact that you can cut through 4 layers of cardstock at a time with these steel-rule dies, and the die platform cuts and scores everything for you too….it makes the whole process very quick

The Dove-shaped window in the card above was made with the die and the cut out shape was used on the tag below.

With the announcement of the Last Chance List and the excitement building for all the new goodies that will be unveiled in the next Idea Book and Catalogue…….it also means  it’s time to say goodbye to some of my favourite stampsets .

Baroque Background is one of my all-time favourite stamps and it won’t be available for much longer.

The background on the card above  was created with the Baroque Background stamp inked up in Sahara Sand Classic ink.

Such a simple background that goes beautifully with the Friends 24/7 stamp set (another favourite of mine that is, thankfully, NOT on the list!)

One of my favourite baby sets, Nursery Necessities,  is also going.  This is a gorgeous set……great for welcoming a new little person into the world or scrapbooking those precious early moments……

Another favourite of mine….Seeing Spots (still only 29.95 for such a versatile stampset)…..has a lot of sentimental value for me as it was the set that Shelli Gardner sent all Australian demonstrators for Christmas at the end of the first year Stampin’ Up! were in Australia. It has always been a go-to set for me for a quick background or to use with markers to create a quick card or a tag like this :
