Bud basics

DSC01736-001.JPG

I love using Wheels in my stamping. They make the whole process a lot quicker and easier. I can whip up around 10 cards in 1/2 an hour using a wheel……and a co-ordinating stampset makes the whole process even more fun! For this card I have used the Bud Basics stamp set and the matching Stampin’ around Basics Outline wheel from the Summer Mini catalogue. With two-step stamping, you can just switch out the colours and your project can take on a whole new look. I have used the “stamping off” technique with the flower images. Instead of re inking, I twisted them around and stamped again over the original image to give a two-toned look. With the two-step stamping sets, you don’t have to be spot on with lining things up…….I actually prefer to eyeball my placement of the images rather than use a stamp positioner……..gotta love the rustic look! For the greeting, I reached for the very versatile Lots of Thoughts stamp set, which is available for free with qualifying orders until the end of February. I used a Chocolate Chip Stampin’ Write marker to isolate the words I wanted to use on my card.
