I have been enjoying getting to know my new niece, Olivia. It amazes me that she is only 6 weeks old and already smiling and “talking” and mimicking sounds. I forgot how much babies can change in such a short time. Here is a frame that I made for her bedroom. It is meant, of course, to have a photo of her in it………but you get the general idea.
For the embellishments I have used the Friendship Blooms set and embossed the flowers onto coloured cardstock with clear embossing powder on Versa Mark so they take on the base colour and look a bit shiny. I’ve also used some of my Stampin’ Up! On Board chipboard and covered it with Spring Flowers double sided paper. The flowers on this paper echo the large flower stamp image. I mixed and matched some Alphabet stamps with chipboard for the name for an ecclectic look and stamped the word “Welcome” with one of my favourite sets, Warm Words for the greeting in the heart. Just click on the image to see more detail.
Inks: Basic Black, Always Artichoke (stamped off once), Versa Mark
Cardstock: Whisper White, Blush Blossom, So Saffron
Accessories: Stampin’ Dimensionals, Vanilla wide Grossgrain ribbon, Olive Organdy Ribbon, Soft Subtles Buttons, 2-way Glue Pen, Sanding blocks.
This could easily be turned into a 12×12 scrapbook page using a sheet of Whisper White as the base colour.
