This card was inspired by fellow demonstrator Jayne. I just love her work…..check out her website and add it to your favourites. Here is my “card” version of those gorgeous Faux Metal ATC’s. I’ve used different colours and a different stampset……..yes it’s Baroque Motifs again…….but doesn’t it suit this technique?
To create the metal embellishment, you need to apply Versa Mark directly onto your card stock (I’ve used Stampin’ Up!’s Ivory Naturals card stock because it has a bit more weight to it which is good for this technique). Once the Versa Mark is on there just pour the Silver Embossing powder straight on and apply your Heat Tool until it melts. Repeat this process of layering Versa Mark and embossing powder and melting another 4 times and when all 5 layers are “sizzling”, stamp your Versa Mark-coated stamp straight into the molten powder.
Here is a close up of the Faux Metal embellishment:
If you and your friends would like to learn this or any other techniques, just contact me to book a demonstration of how to use Stampin’ Up! products to get these amazing effects.
Ok……it’s been rather quiet in here lately so I think it is time for some more candy for all my blog readers………
Leave a comment for this post before the end of the week and I will send you a sample of a card using this cool technique. (Australian residents and non-demonstrators only………but feel free to post a comment and a link to your blog anyway!)

Hi Ness,
Love the cards and the faux metal. You have been such a busy girl, and the cards are lovely. I’m still working madly on my website, but did a great journal making day last Saturday. Posting is coming up soon – it was such a creative day- it would suit your style beautifully, so have a look in a couple of days. Thanks for the feedback on my site – you were the first!
Love your work Ness! See you Friday. 🙂
