Here is another cool technique I wanted to share with you. This technique looks like you have used shaving cream and re-inker, yet it achieves the same look without the mess (always the better option in my book!).
To create the box I used one of the box templates from my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator website. I stamped the smaller flower from the Office Accoutrement stamp set randomly over the box in versa mark, put the box together with Snail Adhesive and wrapped some vellum card stock around the box after dry embossing it with my crop-a-dile to create the raised dots.
To create the big flower in the Faux Shaving Cream effect : Stamp your stamp into a pale ink colour first, then ink up a Stampin’ Around wheel in a darker contrasting colour (this works best with bold images) then squiggle your wheel across the large stamp so it leaves some of it’s ink behind. With a bit of practice you will get you desired look………and the beauty of it is that it will look different every time you stamp!
Here’s a rundown on what I have used, you can purchase any or all of these products directly from me:
Stamps: Office Accoutrement Stamp Set
Ink : Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Purely Pomegranate
Paper: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Vellum Cardstock, Whisper White
Accessories : Round Tab Punch, Paper Snips, Crop-a-dile, Pewter Jumbo Eyelet, Hemp Twine, Snail Adhesive
Here is a card that I created using the same technique, this time using Apricot Appeal and Cameo Coral on the flower:
