How cute are these???!!! I saw the one the lovely Madonna had made on her blog and I just had to get out my card stock and punches and make one right away. You can make them as big or as small as you like and the great thing about these is that they fold flat so you can still pop them in an envelope and send them off in the mail.
I love that you can use Stampin’ Up!’s punches in so many different ways. Here I’ve used the 1 and 3/8 inch Circle Punch to create the window at the front of my card. You can make the opening slightly bigger by moving the punch up and down and punching out again around the original opening. I have used the Simply Said stamp set on the card above.
Here is another diorama card using the set Bugs and Kisses using the large Tag Punch:
To get the different colours on my stamped images, I inked them with my Stampin’ Write Markers instead of an ink pad. This set was just made for Markers!
Instead of posting measurements and instructions I thought I would just show you a bird’s eye view of the diaorama and also tell you that I stuck it all together with Sticky Strip (the best adhesive for 3D projects).
Here’s what I put on the back (this is from the retired Pockets and Pieces Assortment……but you could make something similar using your punches):
If you have any questions or would like more information, please leave a comment for this post and your question and I will be happy to answer it for you.

Hi Ness
You have been busy today! All those beautiful cards … and lotsa info! I love your diorama cards. I had already thought about making some diorama cards for one of my Friday night classes … now I am eager to sit and actually have a play and make them! (Time is the thing!!!) Thanks for your tag! I must admit … I have never had one before … wasn’t sure what on earth you were talking about!!! I will try and get back tomorrow to respond to the tag! But … I’m not sure that I know 7 people who have their own blogs!!! 🙂 Will have to think about that one! Thanks for all your inspiration! Hugs, Andrea
Hi again! I just reread my post!!! I really need to stop blabbering on. I notice that blog etiquette seems to indicate that comments should be short & sweet. So … well … I am going to stop now!!! :)) More hugs!
lol. Andrea…………you have me rotflol! As for blogs to tag……..just go to the forum and pick some and let them know that they have been tagged……..or visit Split Coast…….there is a great Bloggers thread there called Welcome to My Shiny New Blog (?) I just posted on there and got a reply for a blogger in the US that I’ve never had any contact with before…….it’s a great way to meet people who share our passion for papercraft.
