Water Colour Swaps

Now that they’ve gone postal, I thought I would share with you my samples for our team swap last month. The theme was water colouring and we were able to use any colour scheme or stamp set we chose.
I thought I would choose some colours that I don’t normally work with to give myself a bit of a challenge.
I wanted to keep the colour scheme pretty simple so I opted for So Saffron , Pumpkin Pie and Groovy Guava as the three main colours with accents of Very Vanilla (the grosgrain ribbon) and black brads.
Stamps: Paisley Background, Oh So Lovely Hostess Set (I just love the stamp with the poppies) and an old favourite : Warm Words which suits the line art stamped images very well I think
Ink: Groovy Guava, Stazon Jet Black for stamping and Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, Yo Yo Yellow for the water colouring.
Paper: So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Stampin’ Up!’s Water Colour Paper. I just squeezed my ink pads to get a pool of colour in the lid and picked up the ink with my Aqua Painter.
Accessories: Very Vanilla 1.6cm Grosgrain Ribbon, Vintage brads, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Piercing Tool, Foam Mat, 3.5cm Square Punch.
I can’t wait to see what gorgeous creations I get in return………I’ll be stalking that postie tomorrow!!
