This one's for Carol

My friend Carol inspired this layout. She loves purple and this stamp set just reminds me of her too. You can see one of her gorgeous creations using this stamp set Always from the new mini catalogue here.
I have used the emboss resist technique for the back ground of this 6×6 page. To emboss resist, you need to stamp your image in Versa Mark on to Whisper White card stock and heat emboss with Clear Embossing Powder. The colour is added after that using a Stampin’ Sponge and and an Almost Amethyst ink pad (because Stampin’ Up! ink pads are flexible, you can squeeze them and make a pool of colour in the lid to use as a pallet for water colouring or picking up with a sponge.)
The large heart image is also embossed using Versa Mark and Elegant Eggplant classic ink (just ink your stamp with Versa Mark and go straight into the Elegant Eggplant before stamping onto Lovely Lavender card stock). The Clear embossing powder just enhances whatever colour is underneath and makes it shiny, which looks awesome!
I finished off the image with a little ink from my White Signo gel pen.
I just love this photo of my sister with her niece (my youngest)……those cheeks are just soooooo kissable!
Here’s a list of the products I used that can all be purchased from Stampin’ Up! through me :
Stamps – Always stampset (set of 11 coordinating stamps)
Ink – Versa Mark, Elegant Eggplant, Almost Amethyst
Paper – Whisper White, Lovely Lavender

  1. Hi Ness,
That is a lovely layout – don’t you just adore that stamp set?
I just wanted to wish you and Simon a wonderful holiday at Palm Cove. It must be coming up very soon – I am really excited for you. Hope we can get together for another stamping day before too long although you might want to wait until the weather warms up before coming down here again.
    Love the blog
    Ann
