Palm Cove Day 4 and 5

Today we slept in and (when we finally got up) we decided to do something that we never get to do when we are are at home with the kids………live our day moment by moment with no particular plans in place!! We ate when we felt hungry, took a walk along the beach, went to look in a few galleries and gift shops, read a book………generally just did as we pleased!
As we were getting ready for our farewell dinner there was a knock at our door and I was given this gorgeous monogrammed bag:

I transferred my camera etc into my new prezzie and took it with me that night.
We headed to the Resort lounge for cocktails with a bunch of excited demonstrators and their guests. We were all looking forward very much to our farewell dinner at the entrance to a lion’s den!
We boarded the coaches and headed up the mountain to Cairns Tropical Zoo where we had dinner just feet away from real lions.
Unfortunately my camera batteries chose to die in the middle of our journey up to the zoo……..so you will have imagine the magical night that it was, eating our meal in such lose proximity to these amazing creatures under the stars with flame torches and fairy lights all around us. (I’ll see what my SLR pictures turn out like and post one in here when I get the disk) The food and wine was exquisite and in between courses we got to have a  behind the scenes tour of the zoo by torchlight.
We said our farewells that night to Shelli and Sterling as they were heading off very early the next morning to catch a flight back from Sydney to the US.
 Day 5
Had a lovely breakfast with Linda and Greg this morning…… I’m going to miss that yummy Palm Cove food !
We headed back to check out of our rooms and spent some time in the lobby saying our goodbyes and taking photos and thanking everyone for such a wonderful time………..

It was good to know that we could catch up again in cyberspace very soon………and we are all looking forward to a big reunion at Convention 2009 in the ACT.
This final photo below is of our Elite Stampers team members who were in Palm Cove this year. From left to right (back row) Joanna, Jayne, Me , Yvonne, Claire, (front) Alisa, Linda, Marelle and Cheryl. I am very blessed to be a part of this team of demonstrators  who are not only very talented, but also all wonderful, lovely people who are just great to hang out with………DSC01369_sml.JPG I’m thinking there will be a lot more of us next year in Noosa which will make it even more special!!!
