Always Versatile

Just a quick post tonight to show you a another card that I made using the set “Always” from the Spring Mini. This is really one of the most versatile sets I have owned. As I looked at the berries on the branch I thought of holly, so I grabbed my Ruby Red and Certainly Celery markers  and coloured the stamp in to create a branch of holly and stamped onto the Whisper White cardstock panel. I “stamped off” a couple of times to give the effect of movement. For my Yule Tide birdie, I used another technique which also allows you to get a multi-coloured stamped image: the Rock-n-Roll technique. To create this effect you need to ink the stamp up in a lighter colour (in this case Certainly Celery) roll the edges of the rubber in a darker colour (Ruby Red) before stamping directly onto the card stock. I’ve used my Cutter Kit to rough up the edges and punches to cut out the circle motif and that’s it. Oh, and the greeting is from Season of Joy (another limited time set from the Mini).
