Say It With Scallops

Here’s a very quick and easy card I created the other day to send to a friend I hadn’t seen in a while (waving “Hi” Catho!)

I’ve used the two new scallop punches from the Summer Mini (see my previous post for how to create the larger scallop and square border), Spring Break Designer Series Paper, and some yummy Soft Sky Textured cardstock. Did you know that SU! sell 12×12 sheets of textured cardstock in every colour including a pack of assorted Neutrals? The Very Vanilla and Whisper White give a really nice effect to stamped images too……..stay tuned as I’m going to have a play with this soon!
Here’s a list of the other materials I used for the card above:
Ink : Blue Bayou
Cardstock : Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Accessories : Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon, Snail Adhesive, Scallop Edge Punch, Scallop Square Punch.
You could “step up” this card easily by adding a silver brad to the stamped image through one of the flowers and by adding a background stamp eg Polka Dot to the Soft Sky card.
