Baroque Wedding Stationary

DSC01910_sml.JPG
Well the wedding is only a week away and all the invites were sent out long ago so I guess I can show you the finished product!
The colour and design of this stationary was inspired by my friend who love red. When she siad she would like the invites to be red with gold embossing a picture of this card came into my head straight away. I just love emobossing those swirls…….you get a WOW result every time and gold embossed onto Real Red card stock does look pretty stunning. The card is actally a “folder” for the printed invitation inside and held closed with the Kraft Taffeta Ribbon (this matches the material of the brides dress perfectly!) which slides down and off to open the invitation.

The place cards and Wedding Ceremony program were designed to coordinate with the invites but I’ve mainly used Ivory Naturals cardstock and just accented in the Real Red.
Here’s a close up of the program :

For the monogram  I’ve used a technique called “Masking”. Masking makes something appear as though it was stamped behind an image. To create my mask I stamped a frame from Frames With A Flourish onto some scrap paper and then cut it out. Iapplied a small amount of 2-Way Glue Pen to the back of the mask and let it dry (the mask then becomes like a Post-It-Note).
I stamped the frame in Versamark onto the Ivory cardstck and embossed it in Gold. Next I stamped the monogram in Real Red (I had this stamp specially made for the occasion). I then covered the entire frame with the paper mask and stamped over the top of that with the Baroque Motifs swirl, peeled off my mask and VOILA!
This is a really simple technique and the effect is quick to achieve (it needed to be quick as I had around 125 of these to make in one go!)
Here’s a list of what I used to create my stationary :
Stamps : Baroque Motifs, Frames With A Flourish, monogram stamp from my own collection.
Ink : Real Red, Versa Mark
Cardstock : Ivory Naturals, Real Red cardstock.
Accessories : Kraft Taffeta Ribbon, Crop-a-Dile, 2-Way Glue Pen, Anywhere Gluestick, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Embossing Buddy (anti-static pad), Powder Pals, Heat Tool, Cutter with Scoring Attachment.
REMEMBER :  Baroque Motifs is one of the sets that Stampin’ Up! have in the list of stamps being sold for the Bushfire Appeal and until the end of March. 50% of the sale price of these sets goes toward the Victorian Red Cross Bushfires 2009 Appeal.
The others are listed in a previous post below (some are also on the Retiring List).
