Here is a really cute idea for an early Christmas gift – A mobile made with the new Circle Scissor Plus.
Using the Circle Scissor cut a 5 1/4 inch Circle, without moving the cutter, twist the dial out to a full 6″ Circle and cut again. You’ll end up with a ring and a smaller circle that form the top two ornaments. I have placed the 5 1/4″ Old Olive Circle on the other side of the Kraft one and a Kraft ring on the other side if the Old Olive one.
The 3D stars have been made with the scoring attachment on my cutter kit. Score 5 lines with the rotary scorer, starting in the middle of the star and coming out to the point. Bend at the score lines to form a 3D star. You can stick your stars back to back with some Dimensionals which will also help to adhere them to the Linen Thread.
Here’s another great low-cost, hand-made gift idea ……….the new Sweet Treat cups in the Summer Mini are lots of fun and a great way to combine a Christmas card and gift in one. I’ve used the For Everything stampset on this card, the design is based on a card that we made on Incentive Trip in Noosa this year. There is a matching set called Something Sweet (images are below) which is perfect for making fun bright cards suitable for any occasion. I’ve just bought the set for myself for Christmas 😉 so I’ll be sharing some of my fun creations with you very soon!!
Here is my card:
This card was very simple and quick to put together. The Sweet Treat cups (you get 12 of these for $6.50) are self-adhesive too and you can put almost anything you chooose inside them too!
The circle was punched out with the new 1 and 3/4″ Circle Punch (designed to be used with the Sweet Treat Cups). I cut thin strips for the “grass” on my card using Paper Snips and finished off the card with a length of the gorgeous new Real Red Polka-Dot Grosgrain ribbon.
Stamps : For Everything stampset
Ink : Ridinghood Red
Paper : Tangerine Tango and Tempting Turquoise cardstock
Ok….I’m off to make some cards!!!
