I'm back!

Last week the Inky Fingers Team held our Catalogue Launch for Cancer. In the week leading up to the launch I was busy preparing my projects and getting together with fellow team members to plan our fund-raising event on the 8th. I’d like to say a big “Thank you” to everyone, both customers and demonstrators,  who helped make the night such a success!!! To date we have raised well over $2000 for the Cancer Council which is AWESOME. I will let you know the final amount once our fundraising ends . If you couldn’t make it on the night and would like to make a donation you can do so through our official webpage with the Cancer Council HERE.
You can see my Pick-A-Prize flowers that customers received on the night above. I used  the new For You Flower stamp and gorgeous Fancy Flower punch to create these. My new pack of Basic Rhinestones (these are self adhesive and you get 150 in 3 sizes for just $9.50!) arrived just in time the afternoon before the launch….so I added them to the flowers for a bit of bling 🙂
Here they are en masse….aren’t they purdy??? Behind each flower was a number which corresponded to a prize which was anything from Dimensionals to a stampset. Congratulations to Shona who won the Artistic Etchings stampset!!

Here is one of the projects my lovely guests got to create on the night……

You might recognise the idea form the front cover of our new catalogue? I changed the papers to the new Newsprint Designer Series Paper to create a sophisticated, monochrome card. The main design is done by sticking strips of paper, embossed and punched cardstock onto 1/4 of a sheet of A4 cardstock with a Glue Stick before running it through the Bigshot machine with the Top Note Die. I love this effect and it is a GREAT way to use up scraps of paper that you would normally throw away (unless you’re one of those crafty hoarder types like me and you keep EVERYTHING….”just in case” you’ll need to use it one day lol) THe embossing is created using the new Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. The greeting is a stamp from the Perfect Punches stamp set which we got give “just because” at Convention this year. It goes with several different punches and is so quick and easy to use when you want a quick sentiment for a card. I’ve layered the Scallop Oval “Thanks” image here with the Small Oval and Large Oval (in Basic Black cardstock).
I need to announce the winner of last month’s order competition! Any customer who spent $100 or more last month went into the draw to win the Woodgrain background stamp.

The winner has now been drawn….

CONGRATULATIONS JENNIE BULL
