Only 1 day left to Sale-A-Brate!

I can’t believe that there is only one day left  of Sale-A-Bration and only one day remaining to order from the current Summer Mini catalogue also! I will be putting my final orders in by 5pm tomorrow evening so please, if there is anything remaining on your wishlist from either catalogue make sure you email me or phone me during the day tomorrow so that I can get it for you.
The card above was made using the gorgeous Sweet Summer Sale-A-Bration set.
To create the 4 “tiles” on this card I have stamped the images in various Subtles colours and shaded them in with Pastels and a Dauber to give them a bit more definition.
Next I raided the kids’ craft box for a paint brush and lightly brushed over the image with Crystal Effects in a criss- cross pattern (the idea is to leave the brush strokes visible so as to give it a hand-painted look). I got the idea for this technique from one of the talented girls in my Stampin’ Up! team – thanks Jenny!

Great fr all occasions cards, Aviary is probably my favourite from the Summer Mini. I love creating little scenes with the birds in all different colours. This set is suitable for either masculine or feminine cards and very versatile. If you havent yet added it to your collection it is available for one more day only in either the Clear Mount or Wood Mount option.
For the card above, I embossed the bottom piece of  Greenhouse Gala Designer Series paper with my Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder before sanding in with a sanding block to give it a distressed look. THe birdcages are stamped in early Espresso to match the ribbon and the Top Note is embellished with 2 Antique Brass Metallic Brads.
