Here is a scrapbook page I created recently using some of the soon to be gone Autumn /Winter Mini Catalogue stampsets and accessories:

I don’t usually scrapbook the kid’s school photos but this one was begging to be scrapped with the Sweet Stitches Designer Series paper (available until July 31). I used the paper that looks like pattern pieces in Wild Wasabi as the main background as well as mounting Phoebe’s photo onto some Garden Green textured cardstock to pick up the bottle green in her uniform. I used some of the gorgeous over-sized Designer Big Buttons which have been customized to match the Oh Sew Suite in the Mini (perfect for scrapbooking because they are larger than standard buttons).
The picture on the front of the catalogue itself was the inspiration for this layout – proving once again that the Stampin’ Up! catalogues aren’t just a list of products and prices but Idea Books full of gorgeous images that make great starting points for creativity. To be honest , most of the time, I get my inspiration from one of the catalogues.
And  other times I can come up with something totally original just starting off with a brown paper bag, some buttons, pom-pom trim and a cute stampset:

I love using these cute Mini Lunch Sacks for wrapping up little gifts and goodies for someone special……..if you have been a hostess recently, you probably would have received one of these with some Stampin’ Up! goodies inside as your hostess gift 🙂
The stamps used are from the Sew Suite Stamp set (also from the Mini – available until the end of this month). I stamped them in Chocolate Chip ink and shaded them with Melon Mambo Stampin’ Pastels and a Sponge Dauber to add a bit of colour.
The buttons are mounted with Glue Dots as it the Melon Mambo Pom Pom Trim.
Here’s another version which finds it’s inspiration from one that Sophie Zadeh (one of the concept artists at Stampin’ Up!) demonstrated at Convention:

It looks completely different with an autumny/masculine feel doesn’t it? Sophie taught us how to get a great highlighted image by stamping the leaves from the French Foliage stampset in Whisper White Ink first and then overlay with a colour. I have this stampset in the Clear Mount style and found that I didn’t need to use a stamp postioner at all to line the images up and get a great effect.
And…….here is my version of the decorated Mini Lunch Sack……

Don’t you love the way the embossing looks on the top of the lunch bag? That is all I have done to decorate it apart from smudging along the edge of the scallops with Chocolate Chip Ink (the bags come already scalloped) and a dauber for some extra definition and then wrapping a strip of Specialty Designer Series Paper around the entire bag and securing with an Embosslits “Thanks” and an Antique Brad.
You can get your Mini Lunch Sacks until the  end of this month in a pack of 10 for $9.50.
Please let me know if you have any questions about these projects  or if you wish to place an order for these or any other products this month to take advantage of this month’s special offer!
