Candy Cane Christmas

Here’s a cute idea to decorate with the new Candy Wrapper Die. I’ve used some strips of fabric that were off cuts and run them through the Big Shot with my Tasteful Trim Die to make Ric-Rac. This was adhered to my Candy Wrapper Box with Anywhere Glue Stick.  I ran the same Die through with some of our new Glimmer Paper too (this comes in Red and Silver and is beautiful and sparkley!). With the new Candy Wrapper Die you can create longer shapes by cutting the shape on the fold and folding it out to make the perfect size for a Bon Bon – we are going to be giving these a go for our Christmas table too 🙂
Not to let anything go to waste…..I’ve used the off-cuts of fabric from the Tasteful Trim Die to embellish the Christmas card below (in front):

The rosette was created using the Lace ribbon Border Punch and gathering the strip into a cirlular shape and sticking it down into place with Glue Dots. Next I punched out a Red “snowflake” from the Triple Layer Doily Punch and punched out another middle in Pool Party with the 3/4″Circle to layer on top. The whole card except for the base was made from scraps in my scrap box!
Here’s what I’ve used for the projects above, all available from through me from Stampin’ Up!:
Stamps – Heard From the Heart, Stitched Stocking Stamp Set.
Ink – Cherry Cobbler
