Elegant Bird

Loving this little birdie……..another new product from the Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue. This Bigz Die will not only cut through paper and cardstock (several layers at a time) but also through fabric, chip-board and even metal shim!
To make this card I covered a piece of A5 -sized cardstock with strips of  Twitterpated Designer Series Paper before running the entire piece through my Big Shot with the Elegant Bird die. Next, I embossed just the Blushing Bride section with the Hearts Embossing folder from the Adorning Accents set. These folders are narrower than the usual ones and so are great for borders and embossing smaller sections of cardstock and paper. Notice I turned the folder around the other way to create a de-bossed image on the bird’s body?
The wing actually comes out with a fold-line scored on the base so the you can adhere it to your project really easily using a couple of Glue Dots on the under-side.
As a finishing touch to my birdie, I grabbed a small scrap of  Blushing Bride Pleated Satin Ribbon and ran along the back with my Snail Adhesive before sticking it down just underneath the wing.
