Alaska Achievers January Blog Hop!

With Valentine’s Day coming up in February, I thought I’d run with a Love theme in the projects that I am sharing with you today. Please note that these creations would be appropriate to create all year ’round….you could also use the stamp set and accessories in this Suite for Anniversary, Wedding, Engagement and friendship cards and gift and decor ideas – the list is endless…….
The products I’ve used for my projects are from the new Painted Love Suite in the Occasions Catalogue – which is a really versatile and fun set to use.

The stampset is actually bundled together with a set of Framelits (called the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies) that coordinate with the stamp images….. and there’s a box framelit includes in the set of 10 dies!
Here’s the matching box that goes with the card I made above:

I’ve used the new Gold Glitter Flakes to create a sparkley, textured background and to bring out the shiney gold-leaf effect in the Painted Love Specialty Papers.
Here’s another version of the box where I’ve used different stamps from the set this time to decorate it with a banner shape – plus I’ve added some gold embossed leaves (cut out with the coordinating Dies in the bundle) :
 

On the first and last projects, you’ll catch a glimpse of the the new Love Mini Tinsel in Gold and Powder pink too!
HINT : To create the multi-coloured ink effect on the heart stamp in the first and second projects, I’ve inked up the entire stamp in Calypso Coral, then used Sponge Daubers to lightly sponge Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry ink on random parts of the stamp.
