Blossoming Basket Bundle

Personally I think that Stampin’ Up! saved their best ’til last when it comes to this year’s Sale-a-Bration offering!
One of my favourite things to create with lately is the new Blossoming Basket Bundle!
The stamp set and embossing folder are actually perfect for creating Easter basket themed cards. Originating in Poland, the Święconka or “the blessing of the Easter baskets” is a central tradition on Holy Saturday.  The tradition dates back to the 7th century in its earliest form. The basket is traditionally lined with a white linen or lace napkin and decorated with sprigs of boxwood (bukszpan), the typical Easter evergreen. Baskets containing a sampling of Easter foods are brought to church to be blessed on Holy Saturday. After the blessing, the baskets of food are then set aside until Easter morning.
The Easter  Basket tradition has become popular in North America over the last century as a way to celebrate the significance of Easter and expressing God’s generosity to us in the gift of His Son.  In the US, an Easter tradition involves the Easter bunny dropping off a basket of candy for good children overnight. … Easter baskets are also used in Easteregg hunts, in which children try filling their basket with Easter eggs.

Of course, if you just fill them with fresh flowers they are calorie free!

HINT : When watercolouring on the Shimmery White Cardstock, stamp in Basic Black Archival Ink and then heat set with the Heat Tool so it becomes colour-fast.
