Most Adored and Filled With Happiness

One of the stand-alone stamp sets that stood out to me in the new Mini Catalogue is the Filled With Happiness Stampset which also coordinates with the Modern Oval Punch – yay! Here I’ve paired this new stamp set with two different Designer Series Papers : the gorgeous Sale-A-Bration Most Adored Specialty Designer Series Paper (FREE with any $90 order) and the super awesome and versatile Rock & Roll 12×12″ Designer Series Paper (from page 55 in the Mini Catalogue).

I’ve used the Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Color Pencils to colour in the images on these stamps. With the first two cards pictured, the Real Red and Bubble Bath cards, I didn’t blend out the pigment and just left the pencil strokes unaltered……..

This meant that there was a lot of texture in the image which I think makes it more of a focal point……

For the Crushed Curry card, I’ve blended out the Watercolor Pencil with a Blender Pen to smooth out the pencil lines and create a more subtle look……..

I’ve then added some “bling” to each of the cards with the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins……..the black and white back-ground is changed up and coloured with Crushed Curry Classic Ink using a Blending Brush. I’ve also roughed up the edges of the cardstock and DSP with the edge of my Paper Snips for some extra texture.
