Just a quick card for you today……made about 2 dozen of these the other day with some scraps of Greenhouse Gala Designer Paper, some chocolate coloured glitter, a single stamp and some Hemp Twine. I love quick and easy cards…..especially when I have to make more than one at a time!
I was inspired to make this card from the card on on page 16o of the Idea Book and Catalogue, and , as usual, I changed it a bit in the process of creating.
So here’s how I made my card :
1. I stamped the For You Flower stamp twice. The first time inking the whole stamp in Certainly Celery and using a marker to colour the “For You” before stamping onto Whisper White cardstock, the second time in Real Red before punching out the middle of the flower with the 1 and 1/4″ Circle Punch and “popping” it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
2. I glued the piece of Greenhouse Gala paper onto the bottom of the card with a Glue Stick.
3. I swiped over the whole card with my embossing buddy before
placing a piece of Sticky Strip down just above the edge of the paper before peeling off the red backing.
4. Next I placed the whole card into a Powder Pal tray before pouring some Fine Supernova Chocolate Glitter over the top. I pressed this down with my finger to help it stick onto the stick strip and shook off the excess. I then punched a small heart of of Whisper White card stock using the Heart to Heart Punch and applied glue from the two-way glue pen before sprinkling more Chocolate glitter ober the top. I stuck the heart onto the flower with a Mini Glue Dot.
5. I used my Matt Pack and Paper Piercer (now sold seperately for 6.95 in the new catalogue…..yay!) to create the faux stitching on either side of the flower.
6. I finished off my card by rounding the top corners with the Corner Rounder punch and tying on a piece of Hemp Twine.
Let me know what you think of my card!
