I just realised that I posted this accidently as I was uploading some recent pictures this afternoon! As it was in the queue to be posted anyway I will share a little about the cards pictured above, now that you have already seen them 🙂
These cards were two of the projects that we created at our last Stampin’ For Noah night. These ones were created by my beautiful daughter Isobel, who was a great helper on the night too :).
The card on the right uses the Top Note Die and Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background. For this card we also made Faux Suede Flowers for the embellishment. You can make these by punching out several flowers with the Fancy Flower punch and scrunching up each flower to break the fibers which makes it easy to peel them apart and expose the “suede” finish inside. We then placed a Clear Rhinestone Brad through the middle of the flowers that were layered together before adhering them to the finished card with Glue Dots. It’s a very cool effect :).
The card on the left uses the 2-step stamping technique with the Awash with Flowers stampset. Each image has an outline and an infill and the effect happens when you use both together. I love the colours in this card!
Here’s what Isobel used to create her cards above :
Stamps – Upsy Daisy, Awash With Flowers and the very cute Your A Gem stampset from the just finished Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue (dormant until the launch of the new Idea Book and Catalogue September 1st!)
Ink – Perfect Plum and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers, Peach Parfait, Marina Mist and Basic Grey Classic Stampin’ Pads.
Paper – Perfect Plum, Very Vanilla, Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, Peach Parfait, Marina Mist, Whisper White cardstock.
Accessories – Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, Top Note Die, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Little Leaves Sizzlet die, Decorative Label Punch (dormant until the release of the new Idea Book and Catalogue!), Wide Oval Punch, Clear Rhinestone Brads, Mat Pack, Paper Piercer, Marina Mist 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon, Cutter Kit (we used the 7-sided Distressing Tool to “rough up” the edges of the Whisper White and Peach Parfait Cardstock), Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots.
Did you get some new Catalogue “spoilers” in there?
