As you know, Stampin’ Up! are giving away FREE wheels with selected stamp sets this month and I thought I would show you what I have been creating with one of those sets :The “Merry Merry” Bundle (please excuse the dodgy pic!). I love the way you can use this wheel in so many different ways. I’ve used my Stampin’ Write markers here to create a two toned wheel image. You could also wheel the image in several different colours and cut selected words out to stick on over the top of the base image of just use as a greeting on another card. Stampin’ Around Wheel’s are probably the quickest and easiest way to stamp a border or background……they are great for making wrapping paper or decorating gift sacks too!
To create another point of interest on this card, I dusted off my crimper and been playing with different effects, using the direct to paper technique (running my Ruby Red stamp pad over the corrigations in the card to get another type of two tone effect).
You can see the same techniques used on these cute tags I made with the scraps of card and images I had left over:
The “bling” on the brad was made by pressing the top into a glue dot and dipping it into a pot of Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter ………a cool little trick we learned at our Regional Training Day in Sydney last week.
Here’s me demonstrating the “Emerging Colour Technique” at Regionals as a workshop WOW.
We had an awesome day stamping with fellow demonstrators, playing with brand new stamp-sets (stay tuned for a sneak peek of what might be in the next Mini catalogue!)
We all received a brand new stampset upon our arrival. Actually I ended up with three free stamp sets *blush* as I won the Prize Patrol and also received a voucher for any set of my choice from the current catalogues just for sharing my favourite technique with everyone!
Some happy demonstrators receiving their free rubbah!
If you’d like more information about being a demonstrator and attending Stampin’ Up! events, then please email me and discover more about why I love what I do and how you can too!
