Always Baroque

It’s been a while since I posted a scrap book page. Here is one that I have been demonstrating at workshops lately using two of my favourite sets : “Always” and “Baroque” background.
I kept the layout fairly simple and let the photo speak for itself.
Here’s what I used to create this layout :
Ink : Basic Brown, Versa Mark, Earth Elements Markers
Paper : Berry Bliss Double Sided designer Series paper, Cameo Coral 12×12 cardstock
Accessories : Antique Brass Hodgepodge photo turn, Rhinestone Brad  (Pretties Kit), On Board Lots of Letters chipboard circle, Gold embossing powder, Clear embossing powder, Stampin’ Dimensonals, Mini Glue Dots.
Here’s a close up of the Birdie :

I’ve inked up the stamp first in Versa mark, then straight into Basic Brown ink before stamping onto Whisper White cardstock.
I embossed the image with Clear embossing powder and then colured in the detail with coordinating earth Elements Markers.
The Baroque Background looks a little different on this page because I’ve stamped it and them cut out the swirls so I could arrange them on the page to frame the photo. They remind me a bit of feathers the way I’ve used them on this page. I’ve used my markers to create a two tone effect on the swirls before breathing over the stamp and stamping it onto Whisper White.
I’m pretty happy with the way this page turned out.
