Kristina Werner's Colour Inspiration # 16

Ok……..I’ve always wanted to participate in one of these. Kristina Werner is a graphic designer for Stampin’ Up! in the US (how’s that for a dream job!) and her blog is one of my favourites. One of the things that I appreciate about her style is that she reminds us that inspiration is all around us. Here was this week’s colour inspiration :

And here is my take on the colour combo :

I was inspired to do a baby card because  #1 Those little booties were so darn cute! and #2 I know sooooooo many pregnant people at the moment, so I know it will come in useful!!! Here’s a rundown of what I’ve used to create this card:
Stamps : Nursery Necessities stamp set
Ink : Whisper White (not strictly within the guidelines I know, sorry! but we don’t have Very Vanilla ink available in Australia any longer), Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery, Soft Sky
Paper : Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sky Textured, Very Vanilla and Certainly Celery card stock
Accessories : Pumpkin Pie striped grosgrain ribbon, Bashful Blue and Pumpkin coloured Rhinestone Brads, Corner Rounder Punch, 2mm Circle Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals

  1. Ness …. gorgeous card! well done – you’ve inspired me to have a go at this one too … if i can just get rid of this blinkin headache 🙁

  2. Cute card! I really need to buy a new Stampin’UP baby set. I wanted so badly to use the orange striped ribbon when I was creating the cards. I thought I might not match the cream I had already used. It’s so fun to meet more stamper from down-under. come back any old time.

  3. You daughter did a fabulous job! I thought it was one of your cards Ness until I read further down! Your card looks gorgeous too.

  4. Wow! Look how many comments you got for this one! Just gorgeous! I have seen these colour challenges before … One day I might have time to join in! Actually, I just LOVE these colours so much … I might have to stop and do it!!! You didn’t post your blog link for this card on Kristina’s site … any reason?
