Pansies or Hydrangeas?

DSC01413_sml.JPG
Last time our Stamp Clubs met we got out the Aqua painters and experimented with some new watercolouring techniques.  Here is one of the cards we made using the Bloomin’ With Beauty set from the Mini catalogue. As we began colouring with the Water Colour Crayons I noticed there were two different images emerging…….some chose soft green and blue tones while others chose rich purples and lilacs to colour the flowers. It ocurred to me that these flowers could be either Pansies or Hydrangeas depending on the colours used.
So………… my question is :  Which flower do you see when you look at the stamp?
To create the Hydrangea version of this card at home you’ll need:
Stamps: Bloomin’ With Beauty, En Francais Background, Carte Postale stamp sets
Ink: Creamy Caramel, Basic Brown, Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write marker (for shading).
Paper: Water Colour paper, Handsome Hunter, Sage Shadow
Accessories: Glue dots, Choc Chip Taffeta ribbon, Aqua painter, Water Colour Woner Crayons (Earth Elements, Soft Subtles and Rich Regals.)
Special Techniques: Masking
If you’ve never tried watercolouring, why not place an order, get  some supplies together and have a go? I always say it’s one of the more relaxing ways to get creative and Stampin’ Up!’s products make it really easy technique to master with no previous experience required………:-)

  1. Lovely card Vanessa (love the bagalopes too). I haven’t quite worked out which one they are, but I do love that stamp set! Hope you are having a happy week,
