Happy Mother's Day!

Wishing all you Mum’s out there a happy Mother’s Day today! I hope you are being spoilt;).
My day started off with a sleep-in before Pancakes and pressies and then the best Latte ever made by my hubby – and I didn’t have to lift a finger!
I thought I would share a little project with you today – while I’m waiting for the fish’n’chips to arrive for lunch 😉 – that I used to make gifts for our school Mother’s Day stall last week. You can see the finished project above. Here’s how I made it:
1. Place the Stampin’ Up! Scallop Envelope Die onto the Premium Crease Pad and place 2 layers of cardstock on the top. Complete your “sandwich” with a Cutting Mat (the clear plates that come with your Big Shot machine and run it through the Big Shot (I also used the Shim which you get with your Extended Premium Crease Pad to create extra thickness). Because this die also creates a score line the Crease Pad helps prevent it from tearing along the fold.


2. When you have cut 4 envelopes you can put them together by joining the flaps with a piece of Sticky Strip  like this:


3. Simply fold up the bottom flaps like a packing box and you don’t need to use any more adhesive to keep your box together.
Decorate your box and create some coordinating Love Notes to go inside (these come complete with matching envelopes……in both Whisper white and Very Vanilla…..very cute!)
Too easy!

Ink : Basic Grey
Paper : Urban Garden, Urban Oasis, Sweet Always, Good Morning Sunshine, Tangerine Tango Patterns Designer Series Paper, Basic Grey, Tangerine Tango, Old olive, Baja Breeze, Naturals Ivory, Whisper White, Brushed Silver cardstock
Accessories : Wide Oval, Scallop Oval, Large Oval punches, Paper Cutter.
