Yummy new stuff!

I have to say that I think that this year’s Sale-A-Bration offering is the best yet.  With a qualifying order, you’ll have a choice of 4 exclusive stampsets and this year you can take your pick between the Ribbons and Brads or limited edition Designer Series Paper too! I have enjoyed playing with the new papers and accessories over the last couple of weeks.
Here is the first card that I came up with using my new stash of goodies as I was pushing around some scraps and off-cuts of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper.
How I created this card –
Step 1 – I adhered the strips of paper in alternate patterns onto a piece of cardstock, let it dry and ran it through my Big Shot machine with the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, cutting out the largest single butterfly shape.
Step 2 – Next I ran the butterfly through my Big Shot again, this time embossing it with the Square Lattice folder.
Step 3 – I stamped the border from the new Fresh Vintage stampset in Pool Party along the middle of the Very Vanilla cardstock and punched out the border with my Lace Trim Border Punch. I rounded off the corners on both the base card and the Vary Vanilla piece using the Corner Rounder punch.
Step 4 – Next I piecered through the butterfly and the Very Vanilla and inserted a Printed Brad to hold it in place. I wrapped the Calypso Coral Organdy Ribbon around the entire piece and tied a bow at the brad to secure it before adhering it to the card with Dimensionals.
Step 5 – Lastly added a greeting from the new Pretty Postage stampset stamped in Soft Suede.
So, what do you think of my first efforts?
Leave a comment and let me know what you think of my card and I’ll send out a Sale-A-Bration catalogue in the mail complete with a sample for you 🙂
(Offer open to Australian residents and non-demonstrators only).
