Every Moment and Stamping with Bleach

This is what I have been creating as a “thankyou” gift for my hostesses this month.  We have been having fun using the bleaching technique in our projects and I have been demonstrating the technique of bleaching and watercolouring (shown on the little note cards above).
I’ve used a couple of retiring products and a retiring stamp set on these cards. The bleaching technique was done using a bleach-filled Aqua Painter. You’ll get 2 of these in the pack for 19.95, so you can use one for your bleach and one for water – for water colouring ;).
The basic technique is as follows :
Step 1 : Stamp your line-art image (I’ve used the flower stamp from the RETIRING Every Moment stamp set  31.95 in wood mount and 25,95 for the clear mount) in Black Stazon Ink. “Paint” inside the lines with an Aqua Painter filled with full-strength household bleach.
Step 2 : Wait for the bleach to “go off”. You can use your Heat Tool to speed up the process if you’re in a hurry!
Step 3 : Take a Blender Pen and your Stampin’ Pastels (can’t believe these are retiring  – “in denial”!)  and colouri n the image where the bleach has whitened the background colour.
HINT : There is a lot of serendipity involved in this technique and every different colour cardstock will produce different result. So experiment and have fun with the different effects. I have used Wisteria Wonder cardstock which bleaches to white so it’s perfect for this technique.
Our Make-N-Take card this month uses the Stamping with Bleach technique :

If this is a technique that you’d like to learn at your next Party….. let me know and I can show you how to create a Bleach Pad so that you can stamp with bleach!
The “Enjoy” tag was created using the Large Tag Punch (RETIRING) and the 5-Petal Flower Punch (Now SOLD OUT). The Gift Box and the Mini Envelopes were created with the Diagonal Plate (super easy to use with your Simply Scored Tool).
The Papers are Nursery Nest (RETIRED ad REDUCED by 40% – 11.37 this month before the go for good).
You’ll see a glimpse of the RETIRING Striped Grossgrain Ribbon on the right too…….all 11 colours are going, some reduced by 25%.
