Four Feathers

A fluttery card for you today!  I needed some thank you cards for some special customers and team members this week so I inked up my Four Feathers stampset for  the first time to create several of these in around an hour. I have used the Ombre technique (ink up first with a lighter colour and then using a Sponge Dauber to add the darker colour sparingly over the top before stamping). The matching Feathers Framelits made it quick and easy to cut the feathers for embellishing my cards.

TIP : Use a strand of Burlap frayed from the Burlap ribbon through your button – it’s stiffer than Linen Thread and easier to thread through!

I  used the largest Feather Framelit to cut a shape from the Very Vanilla Background BEFORE I embossed it in the Decorative Dots, sponged around the Feather cut out before mounting it over the top of the cut  (here’s a close – up) :

I bent the feather up a bit on the edges to give it more of a 3D look……..you can also see a little more of the Rose Red base card underneath.
