Oh So Lovely

DSC02493_sml.JPG

I’m back! Well, we got through the first week of school without too much trouble……..I’m thinking we may have to cut some of our extra activities down……..but, all in all, it was a great week and the good news is that everyone’s happy to do it all again on Monday! Plus, there were no tears at all (gotta be happy with that!)

I wanted to share some thankyou cards I’ve been making recently for my lovely Sale-A-Bration hostesses. For these cards I’ve used the hostess set “Oh So Lovely”. This set has an awesome background stamp that I really enjoy using (I don’t have the “Sanded” BG but this is quite similar…..maybe a cross between Sanded and Weathered).

These cards were very quick to make particularly as the stamping was done entirely free hand (it’s great the way you don’t have to line up organic “rough edged ” images perfectly straight). I’ve used a technique called “stamping off ” which allows you to get several shades out of the one Ink Pad, it also gives the illusion of movement.

The best thing about this stamp set is that it’s free with any order of $300 or more!

To create this card I used the following (all from Stampin’ Up!):

Stamps : Oh So Lovely, Short and Sweet

Ink : River Rock, Purely Pomegranate

Cardstock : Very Vanilla,  River Rock, Purely Pomegranate

Accessories : 7-Sided Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit, Antique Brass Hodgepodge Hardware oval window, Twill Tape, Hemp Twine, Large Oval Punch, Glue Dots, Anywhere Glue Stick.

Sale-A-Bration in it’s final weeks……………………….

Place an order before Feb 28 and you will earn a free Sale-A-bration set for every $100 you spend (before shipping). Just click HERE to view the Sale-A-bration catalogue online and contact me:  stampin@vanessawebb.net to order your free sets before the promotion ends!

  1. Hi Ness,
I haven’t commented on your blog before, but I had to tell you how much I love this card, and also the one you sent Andrea which she has on her blog. Now I am itching to have a go at it. Very simple, but it looks great. I am continually amazed at how clever everyone is. Like you, I am now settling into my ‘back to school’ routine. Even though the days are quieter, in many ways it seems much more hectic.
    Regards Julie
