Cameo Gate Fold Card

It’s hard to believe that September is nearly over! Lovely to be getting some real Spring weather (finally!)…..and with school holidays starting next week, some RnR  with friends and family is definitely on the cards :). The end of September also means the end of Stampin’ Up!’s fabulous joining special for this month. If you haven’t heard the news click HERE for all the information on how to join my Inky Fingers team. Until September 30 you can start your own Stampin’ Up! business for just $169 for the limited time Mini Kit or $231.20 (that’s a 20%  discount!) for the regular Starter Kit. Need I say…..if you have ever thought about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator…….now is a great time to START YOUR JOURNEY.
The card above is a gate-fold card I created using the new Forever Young stampset from Stampin’ Up!
Here’s how I made my card :
Step 1 – I cut 1 Island Indigo A4 cardstock sheet in half and scored it at 5.25cm in from each end to create the “gate-fold”.
Step 2 – Next I stamped the “Parlor Prints” Background stamp in Island Indigo onto the front of my card (with flaps closed)
Step 3 – I then punched out a strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock using the new Lace Ribbon Border Punch and adhered it to the two flaps with a break in the middle using an Anywhere Glue Stick. I cut a strip of the Timeless Portrait Designer Series Paper and adhered it over the top of the Lace Ribbon Border using Anywhere Gluestick. I also punched out a length of Cherry Cobbler cardstock to cut up and  use for the top and bottom of my “Cameo” on the front.
Step 4 – Next I cut out an oval from Basic Black cardstock using the Ovals Die and my Big Shot machine and adhered the two Cherry Cobbler punch-outs to the top and bottom using Glue Dots.
Step 5 – I then stamped the frame image from the Forever Young stampset twice in Island Indigo onto Very Vanilla cardstock. I punched out one of these with the Extra Large Oval Punch and cut around the other with my Paper Snips before mounting it on top of the oval with a Dimensional. I finished off my card with some self-adhesive Basic Pearls.
The entire Cameo was then adhered to the left side of the gate only with Glue Dots so the it opens outward.
